White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Chippers

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 ounces (2 cups) white chocolate chips or bulk white chocolate
1 cup butter or margarine, softened cut into 1/2 inch chunks
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup coconut (optional)

Directions
Mix flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
Beat butter, sugars and egg until fluffy.
Stir in the dry ingredients.
Blend in the vanilla.
Gently stir in the chocolate, nuts and coconut.
Drop by tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, placing cookies a few inches apart.
Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
Cool slightly and remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Yield: 21/2 dozen
