Apple Crisp
Ingredients
7 or 8 large cooking apples
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 t. salt
1 c. flour
1 c. light brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. lemon juice or less
Directions
- Peel, core and slice apples into a 8" square pan. Layer about 1" deep.
- Sprinkle apples with sugar and lemon juice, mixing lightly with fork.
- Combine flour, sugar, butter, salt and cinnamon in a bowl and cut it with a knife or pastry blender to make fine crumbly mixture.
- Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake at 375° for 30 - 45 minutes until apples are tender.
Serves six.
