Royal Icing

Ingredients
1 32-oz bag of powdered sugar 
1/2 cup pasteurized egg whites*
1 teaspoon of vanilla

*You can purchase pasteurized egg whites in most grocery stores. These are made safe to eat due to the pasteurization process. DO NOT use regular egg whites.

Directions
In a large bowl, add egg whites and vanilla and beat till it foams.
Slowly add in your powdered sugar until the icing is shiny and forms soft peaks.
If too runny, add more sugar till it’s nice and thick.
Separate mixture into different bowls and add desired food coloring to dye.
To decorate, fill small piping bags.
Icing can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
