1 c. butter or oleo
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
4 eggs, one at a time
1/2 t. soda (Ed: I assume this means baking soda.)
1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and sugar together; add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla. Bake in greased and floured tube or bundt pan for 1 hour at 325°.

Makes 6 to 10 slices
