It is possible that the name Walking Tostada may have come from someone misunderstanding the name Joaquin Tostada. Call it what you want; it works either way. This is meant to be served cold, but I suppose you could heat it up.

Ingredients
1 15-oz. can refried beans
1 bunch green onions, diced
1 container of guacamole or guacamole dip
2 tomatoes, diced
1 small container sour cream
grated cheddar cheese
1 medium can diced Ortega chiles
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium can sliced black olives
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 bag of your favorite tortilla chips

Directions
  • Cook ground beef with taco seasoning as instructed on the package.
  • On a large platter, spread the refried beans to cover most of the platter.
  • On top of this, spread the guacamole and sour cream.
  • On top of this sprinkle the cooked ground beef, chiles, green onions, olives and tomatoes.
  • Top with grated cheese.
  • Use tortilla chips to dig in and enjoy.
