1 lb potatoes - peeled or unpeeled, your choice
1 lb cauliflower
About 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (add more if the mash is too dry)
1/4 cup butter
salt & pepper to taste
Add garlic if you like; you decide how much.

Cut potatoes into about 1" chunks.
Cut cauliflower so you have a lot of little florets.
Boil potatoes and cauliflower together until they are tender enough to mash. I have also microwaved them in a big dish with water.
Drain and then start mixing, adding the whipping cream to reach the consistency that you want.
Add butter, then salt, pepper and optional garlic to taste.
