Celebrate cherry season with Mrs. Louis Goddard's Cherry Bread, a vibrant quick bread featuring maraschino cherries for festive color and sweet flavor. This generous recipe yields a moist, tender loaf studded with bright red cherry pieces throughout. The unique method of letting the batter rest before baking ensures perfect texture. Ingredients
6 cups flour
6 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt

2 eggs, beaten 
1-3/4 cups sugar 
2 cups sweet milk 

1 - 100z. bottle Maraschino cherries (cut) with juice 
3 Tbsp. butter. 

Directions
Sift together the dry ingredients.
Mix in the remaining ingredients. 
Line bread pan with wax paper or parchment paper.
Pour batter into pan and let stand 20 minutes.
Bake in 325 degree oven for 60 minutes.
Servings\Yield
Makes 1 large loaf (about 12 servings).
