Ingredients
1 large head of broccoli, cut into florets
4-6 slices of bacon, diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: garlic powder or minced garlic

Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Spread the diced bacon on a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until it starts to crisp.
Remove the bacon from the oven and set aside, leaving the bacon fat on the baking sheet.
In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic (if using).
Spread the seasoned broccoli on the baking sheet with the bacon fat.
Roast for about 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the broccoli is tender and slightly charred at the edges.

💬 Uncle Dave says...
Claude AI found this for me.
This dish combines the smoky flavor of bacon with the nutty taste of roasted broccoli. The bacon fat adds extra flavor to the broccoli as it roasts.
