Ingredients
For the meatballs:
1 lb ground beef
½ cup finely crushed cracker crumbs (saltines)
1 egg
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon onion salt
½ teaspoon garlic salt

For the rest:
1 bottle chili sauce
1 can jellied cranberry sauce

Directions
To make the meatballs:
In a large bowl, whisk the egg until broken up.
Add the salt, pepper, and cracker crumbs.
Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes to allow the cracker crumbs to absorb some moisture.
Add the ground beef, onion salt, and garlic salt to the bowl.
Use your hands to gently mix everything together, being careful not to overmix as this can make the meatballs tough.
Roll the meatballs into 1" balls, and place in a casserole dish.

To finish:
Heat chili sauce and cranberry sauce in saucepan until bubbly and very smooth.
Pour sauce over meatballs and bake in oven at 350° for an hour and 30 minutes covered.*
Serve with toothpicks.
Can be kept hot in chafing dish.

*ED: That seems like an awfully long time!
