This hearty Hot Dog Stew transforms humble ingredients into a comforting, flavorful meal. Sliced wieners simmer in a vibrant sauce featuring golden onions, smoky paprika, and fresh garlic, while chunky potatoes add satisfying substance. The addition of green peppers and tomatoes creates a balanced, nutritious one-pot wonder. Ingredients
2 onions
8 - 10 wieners
paprika
green pepper
salt
pepper
4 Irish potatoes
1 can tomatoes
garlic (small clove)
butter or oleo

NOTE: Oleo is just margarine, which you should never use. Just use butter.

Directions
Chop onions very fine.
Brown in butter or oleo to a golden color.
Add enough paprika to make a nice red.
Simmer the mixture for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
Cut the wieners into about 8 sections, add to mixture.
Simmer.
Add green pepper (chopped), tomatoes, minced garlic, black pepper.
Simmer about 15 minutes.
Add peeled and quartered potatoes, salt and cook over low flame for 30 minutes.
When potatoes are done, serve.
