A holiday favorite, this festive Crab Mold combines lump crab meat with creamy ingredients and subtle seasonings. Often served in a Christmas tree-shaped dish decorated with colorful vegetables, this retro appetizer is as beautiful as it is delicious. Serve with your favorite crackers for an impressive starter that's been bringing families together for generations. Can be prepared ahead for stress-free entertaining!
Ingredients
1 c. mayonnaise
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg cream cheese
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. green onion (chopped)
1 pkg Knox gelatin
2 cans crab (can also add shrimp)

Directions
  • Mix gelatin in soup and heat to hot (not boiling).
  • Add cream cheese and stir until smooth.
  • Add rest of ingredients and mold in 2 cup mold.
  • Un-mold using knife around edges.
  • Serve with favorite crackers.
Servings
Makes one 2-cup mold, serves 8-10 as an appetizer

This is a true family favorite, often had at Christmas. Mary has a Christmas tree shaped dish that she makes it in, and then uses pimentos, green and red peppers and other veggies to "decorate" it.
