Ingredients
1 round unsliced sourdough bread bowl (2 small bread bowls of sourdough may be substituted). 3 ( 8 ounce) packages of cream cheese 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans crab, drained 1 (4 ounce) can green chilies, chopped 4 green onions, chopped 4 tablespoons parsley, chopped Worcestershire sauce to taste Hot pepper sauce to taste
Directions
Slice off the top of the bread round(s) and hollow out the inside, saving the bread and the top.
Mix together all remaining ingredients and place mixture in the hollowed out bread bowl(s).
Cover with reserved top.
Wrap in heavy foil and place on a baking sheet.
Bake at 250° for 3 hours.
Before serving, cut up the reserved bread into cubes.
Place bread bowl on a serving plate and surround with bread cubes.
You may also wish to include some crackers.
Variation: Substitute 2 cans chopped clams, drained, in place of the crab. Add a small can chopped black olives.
