Ingredients
1 cup (4 oz) coarsely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup (4 oz) butter, softened a lot!
1 cup (4.5 oz) all purpose flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. hot sauce
1 cup (1 oz) Rice Krispies

Directions
The butter needs to be super soft. You might even try melted butter.
Put all ingredients in bowl and mix well.
This is going to be a very coarse dough that should stick together when squeezed.
Pinch off marble sized pieces, shape them if you like, and put on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350° for 10 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Store airtight.
Servings\Yield
Makes about 4 dozen, depending on size.

💬 Uncle Dave says...
Okay.
So the one and only time I made these, I used pepper jack cheese.
They were shit!😡😞😡😞😡😞
Flavorless and very "floury".
Maybe cheddar would have made a difference.
Maybe I had a little too much flour.
Maybe Rice Krispies were made differently in the 1960s.
I dunno.
Probably not gonna try to make them again! But if I do, I will use some good cheddar, maybe kick up the hot sauce a notch and a little less flour, and maybe a little more butter.
No, seriously...they were bad!
So bad I forgot to take a picture before I dumped them!
