The mixture includes equal parts salt, garlic, oregano, onion, paprika, rosemary, pepper, parsley, and celery for the perfect enhancement to beef roasts and prime rib. Similar to commercial blends but customizable to your taste preferences - an essential pantry staple.

Directions
Use equal amounts of all ingredients.
The paprika, celery, garlic and onion are powdered.
The oregano, rosemary and parsley are finer than the flakes you find in the spice aisle.
The salt and pepper are fine ground.

Makes enough for 3-4 large roasts

From John Ferguson, sometime prior to 2005: "This is based on Carl's Prime Rib & Roast Seasoning, which I thought was gone forever when I used the last of ours and could not find it in any stores nor find any reference to it anywhere on the Internet. This is about as close as I could come to it. Turns out it can still be purchased. Here in Modesto we found it at O'Brien's Market."
