Ingredients
2 pounds extra-lean ground beef (grind your own if possible 🤣)
3 (1-inch thick) slices French bread, soaked in 1/4 cup milk
1 large brown onion, chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon grated orange rind
¼ cup olive oil
1/2 cup ketchup, plus more for top
Directions
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together.
Divide mixture evenly and shape into two loaf pans.
Brush tops with more ketchup, if desired.
Place loaf pans in a larger pan and pour 1/2 cup warm water into the larger pan.
Bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees, or until done. (Baking time may vary.)
