Transform your brunch spread with this make-ahead Brunch Casserole that combines crispy-edged buttery bread with layers of gooey cheddar cheese and savory ham. Soaked overnight in a simple egg custard seasoned with dry mustard, this comfort food classic bakes up golden and puffy. Perfect for holiday mornings or weekend gatherings, it requires just minutes of prep the night before for a stress-free, satisfying meal.

Directions
Cut crust from loaf of white bread.
Butter one side.
Lay buttered side down to cover bottom of 9 x 13 baking dish.
Add 2 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese, layer of sliced or chopped ham.
Top with bread, buttered side up.
Beat together 6 eggs, 2 1/2 cups milk, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp dry mustard.
Pour over casserole.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake uncovered at 325° for 60 minutes.
