Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted, cooled
1 cup (215 g) packed light brown sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 cups (240 g) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a large bowl, whisk butter, brown sugar, and vanilla until combined.
Add flour and salt and stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Pat into a thin, even layer with your hands (the dough may not go all the way to the edge).
Bake crackle cookie until golden brown all over, 18 to 20 minutes.
Let cool, then break into pieces.
